With icy conditions affecting our area, we’re sharing some key safety tips to help keep everyone safe over the coming days:

• Take extra care on the roads: slow down, brake gently and leave plenty of space.
• Use main roads and bus routes where possible, as these are more likely to be gritted.
• Check your vehicle: tyres, battery and lights should all be in good working order.
• Keep your fuel tank topped up to avoid getting stranded.
• Stay updated by checking the latest Met Office weather reports.
Please look out for neighbours who may need extra support during the cold spell.
